Truck plunges into Trishuli River; 3 rescued

Dhading District Police Office spokesperson, Inspector Pralhad Silwal informed Nepal Views that the truck ( Lu 2 Kha 250), which was traveling from Nawalparasi to Kathmandu, veered off the road and fell into the river on Tuesday morning.

Kathmandu: A truck has plunged into the Trishuli River from Khayerghari in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10, located along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district.

Dhading District Police Office spokesperson, Inspector Pralhad Silwal informed Nepal Views that the truck ( Lu 2 Kha 250), which was traveling from Nawalparasi to Kathmandu, veered off the road and fell into the river on Tuesday morning.

Police rescued three individuals from the accident site: driver Ashish Mahto ( 27 years old) driver from Nawalparasi West, co-driver Raju Thapa Magar ( 26), and truck owner Suresh Gurung (46) from Khairahani Municipality.

‘They were sent to Bihani Pharmacy in Majhimtar for initial treatment,’ said Inspector Silwal, ‘Preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to the truck losing control.’

The accident site is near Hugdi Khola, at the border between Dhading and Chitwan districts.
