Kathmandu: A massive fire outbreak, at a sawmill located near Nagpokhari in Naxal, has turned goods, worth millions of rupees, into ashes.

The fire quickly engulfed wood and furniture materials, causing damages worth millions of rupees on Monday morning.

Locals tried to control the fire, but it continued to spread. By the time the fire brigade arrived, most of the materials inside the mill had already burned.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire destroyed expensive wood, furniture, and other materials inside the mill. ‘We watched helplessly as the wood and furniture burned before our eyes,’ said a resident.

Although the fire was eventually brought under control with the efforts of the fire brigade and locals, the full extent of the damages has not yet been determined.
