Independent candidate Maharjan files candidacy for Vice Chairperson of Kiritpur Municipality-1

Kathmandu: Independent candidate Binod Maharjan has filed his nomination for the Vice Chairperson of Kirtipur Municipality-1 ‘

Maharjan filed his candidacy at Sunday’s Election Officer’s Office, Kirtipur, for the upcoming local-level by-election, to be held on December 1 (Mangsir 16). Nomination papers are being registered for the by-election.

Election Commission Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal said the candidate’s nomination will be registered from 10: 00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the office of the election officer established at the respective local level.

Likewise, the Election Commission said the list of the candidates will be published between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.  38 Election Officers’ Office for the by-election was established on Friday.

The Commission said 32 Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and 6 Election Officers’ Offices were established at the local level for the by-election.
