Former Minister of Koshi Adhikari arrested in human trafficking

Kathmandu: Koshi’s outgoing Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Minister Lila Ballav Adhikari, who is accused of human trafficking has been arrested.

Adhikari was arrested from Biratnagar, after taking permission from the court on Sunday. Adhikari will be brought to Kathmandu through aircraft.

Three youths, who had traveled to Japan last week by creating fake identification and paying a large sum to an organized syndicate, have been sent back by immigration authorities. Minister Adhikari was also among those who returned.

Likewise, the CPN (UML) Koshi Province Committee suspended Adhikari from the members of the National Representative Council and organized members of the party.
