Leaders wishing Donald Trump before officially electing as U.S. President

Kathmandu: Even before formally being elected as the U.S. President, Donald Trump has already received a flood of congratulatory messages.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and others have extended their congratulations.

Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter), ‘Heartfelt congratulations to my friend Donald Trump on his historic election victory.’ He further added, ‘Like the successes of your previous term, I look forward to advancing our cooperation to strengthen the India-US global strategic partnership. Let us work together for the benefit of our people, global peace, and prosperity.’

Starmer also congratulated Trump, calling it a “historic win.” The British Prime Minister expressed, ‘I look forward to working with you in the coming years.’

Similarly, Netanyahu congratulated Trump on his “great victory,” adding, ‘Your historic return to the White House marks a new beginning for America and provides a powerful commitment to the great alliance between Israel and the U.S.’

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also congratulated Trump, calling it “the greatest comeback in U.S. political history” and an essential victory for the world. Trump addressed his supporters in Florida, declaring his victory, but the formal announcement of his win has not yet been made.
