Hong Kong Sixes: Nepal defeats Australia by 11 runs

Kathmandu: Nepal has defeated Australia in the Hong Kong International Series.

Nepal defeated Australia by 11 runs in the second match of the series at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok, Hong Kong on Saturday.

Australia failed to chase the target of 112 runs posted by Nepal. Australia lost all 5 wickets and scored only 100 runs.

Jack Wood was unbeaten at 55 runs and Alex Ross contributed 14 runs for the team.

Pratish GC took 3 wickets for Nepal. Lokesh Bam and Bibek Yadav will take 1 wicket each.

Australia won the toss and decided to field first. In the first innings, Nepal scored 111 runs with a loss of 2 wickets.

Captain Sundeep Jora scored 51 runs for Nepal. He smashed 5 boundaries and 4 sixes. Pratish also scored a half-century in the first match of the series against England.

Lokesh Bam contributed 33 runs out of 13 balls by hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Bibek Yadav contributed 12 runs for the team. Rashid Khan was unbeaten at 12 runs and Narayan Joshi at 1 run.  Jack Wood took 2 wickets for Australia.

Now, Nepal will compete against Sri Lanka at 1:35 p.m. in the third quarter-final of the tournament.
