NRB begins selling Silver coins for Dhanteras (Photo Feature)
According to NRB’s Mint Divison, silver coins of 10-gram, 25-gram, and 35-gram are available for sale.
Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has begun selling special Silver coins (medallions) for the upcoming Tihar (Dhanteras) festival.
The Silver medallions are of various weights and inscribed with figures of Ganesh, Laxmi, Gajlaxmi, and Cows. According to NRB’s Mint Divison, Silver coins of 10-gram, 25-gram, and 35-gram are available for sale.

The price of 10-gram Silver coins is 2,200 rupees, 25 grams is 5,500 and 35 grams is 8,400 rupees. Laxmi, Ganesh, and Gajlaxmi inscribed coins are available in 10 grams, while Cow embossed medallions are 25 grams.
