Writ filed, against land given by Min Bahadur Gurung to CPN(UML), in Supreme Court

Kathmandu: A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court, against the land given by Bhat Bhateni Super Market’s Managing Director (MD) Min Bahadur Gurung to the CPN (UML).

Though advocate Dr. Gyan Bahadur Basnet’s writ filed was dismissed by the Supreme Administration, Justice Til Prasad Shrestha’s bench overturned the decision and ordered its registration.

According to the order, the registered writ will be presented on Thursday.  Advocate Basnet in writ made Gurung and CPN(UML) Office as opposition. He insisted that the matter of receiving the land in donation from the businessperson, who is accused of corruption and personalization of government land is against the spirit of the law.

Gurung announced to giving 10 ropani and 14 annas to CPN(UML) on October 11( Asoj 25) for the construction of the party central office in Kritipur-2, Maitrinagar Kathmandu.  CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and the Gurung couple laid the foundation stone of the building together.
