Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the country marks the beginning of a new era in the area of digital connectivity in terms of improving citizens’ access to communications facilities.
Addressing the special programheld at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Wednesday, to unveil the government’s achievements in its first 100 days.
The Prime Minister said the ‘Fiber to the Home ( FTTH)’ initiative implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has remained as a significant accomplishment of the government. Humla, out of 77 districts in the country, lacked access to FTTH.
PM Oli said it was launched there a couple of months ago, expanding the broadband internet connectivity to the entire district.
