Deuba didn’t agree to bring ordinance, Cabinet meeting postponed

Kathmandu: The meeting of the cabinet has been postponed.

The meeting which was called to be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday afternoon, was postponed in the last hour. The minister said that the reason behind the postponement of the meeting is not known.

As mentioned by the source, a discussion on about bringing an ordinance related to party division was being discussed. However the main ruling party Nepali Congress (NC) is not ready to bring the ordinance.

NC Leader Bishwakarma said NC is currently in opposition to the ordinance. ‘Currently, NC is in opposition, Why need to hurry?  said Bishwakarma.  Eariler, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli discussed with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday.  Deuba who came out  and  said that he would talk with his party, stand in the opposition in the last hour.

Likewise PM Oli already prepared the draft of the ordinance. All was left to be passed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Law. But, Deuba at the last stopped it.
