Nepal defeats US in Super Over to clinche T-20 series title

Kathmandu: Nepal defeated the USA in Super Over to clinch the T-20 series title against the USA.

Nepal defeated the USA in Super Over, with a lead of 2-0 in a 3-match series, in Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas on Sunday.

Nepal chased the target of 3 runs in the 4th ball of the super over. In the first innings of the super over, Sompal Kami succeeded in taking two wickets and limiting the target to 2 runs.

Sompal took the wickets of Shayan Jahangir and Aaron Jones in the Super Over.

The match entered the Super Overs after the match was tied when Jasdeep Singh suffered a run out in the last ball of the second innings of the match. At that time, the USA needed just 2 runs to win the match while chasing the target of 171 runs; given by Nepal.
