Government decides to open additional 57 mountains for summit

Kathmandu: The government has decided to permit the opening of an additional 57 mountains for the summit.

Unveiling the decision of the cabinet meeting, in Singhadurbar on Tuesday, Government Spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung announced the decision.

The government said the relief and restoration work is going rapidly in the government’s disasters-affected local levels of 12 districts. He said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has been given the responsibility of coordinating with the District Disaster Management Committee and sending necessary funds for relief and reconstruction to the disaster-affected people.

Likewise, Spokesperson Gurung said that some municipalities may be further declared as disaster-affected areas and the number of municipalities could reach 65.

The Communication Minister said under the coordination of former Finance Secretary of the government Rameshwar Khanal, the cabinet formed a High-Level Economic Sector Reform Suggestion Commission; comprising of experts.
