Currently, cashmere goats are being sold at 1300 rupees per kg. Last year, it was 1250 rupees per kg.

Kathmandu: The first lot of Mustang’s Cashmere goats (Chyangra) have been kept in Khasi Bazaar, Balkhu. The private sector brought the cashmere goats targeting Dashain.

5000 Cashmere goats have been brought to Kathmandu from Mustang. In the first lot, about 1500 cashmere goats and sheep have been brought to Khasi Bazaar, Balkhu.

Currently, cashmere goats are being sold at 1300 rupees per kg. Last year, it was 1250 rupees per kg.

According to traders of Balkhu, they are preparing to bring around 5000 Cashmere goats from the Himalayan region, including Mustang, this year.
