Case filed against Durga Prasai in Kathmandu District Court

Kathmandu: A case has been filed against ‘viral man’ Durga Prasai in a cybercrime case at Kathmandu District Court.

District Attorney’s Office filed a case based on the Police Cyber Bureau’s investigation report. Another case has also been filed against Prasai, who was arrested in a complaint filed by the Rastrya Swatantra Party (RSP) Central Member Tika Sangraula (Jawla).

Durga Prasai arrested in case of character assassination

Prasai was arrested on September 22 (Asoj 6) from Bhaktapur. Along with Prasai, the court permitted to arrest of Jeevan Pandey and Prakash Chandra Dahal. However, they are absconding.

According to Electronic Transaction 2063, if found guilty in the accusation of character assassination, then the person will be imprisoned up to 5 years and a fine of 0.1 million (1 lakh)  rupees.
