Flood and Landslide Update: 148 died, 55 missing across nation

Kathmandu: A total of 148 people have been killed, 55 missing and 101 injured in floods and landslides across the nation.

Ministry of Home Affairs Spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari said 38 form Dhading, 22 form Lalitpur, 16 from Kathmandu, 29 from Kavre, 7 from Makwanpur, 6 from Sindhupalanchowk, 5-5 from Solukhumbhu, Pachthar and Bhaktapur died in flood and landslide.

He said 3 from Dolakha, 2 from Sindhuli, Dhankuta, Mahottari, 1 from Ramechhap, 2 from Jhapa, Udayapur, 1 from Illam, Saptari and Nuwakot died in flood and landslide.

Tiwari said 9 thousand 983 security personnel were deployed in the search and rescue operation, currently 2 thousand 661 were rescued by the security personnel.
