Kathmandu: The government has decided that there would no reduction in the rescue and relief of the citizens affected by the natural disasters, due to the incessant rainfall.
The emergency meeting called by the Acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh at Singhadurbar on Saturday, expressing grief over natural calamity decided not to allow any reduction in the rescue and relief of the citizens.
The government Spokesperson Prithvi Gurung said the meeting decided to provide necessary relief and compensation to those affected by the natural disaster and to provide free treatment to the injured people.
He said that the meeting also decided to postpone the exams due to the rain, and to begin the initiative to bring the blocked roads in operation immediately. The meeting directed to take initiative to work on interrupted electricity, water and telephone.
