Shankar Pokharel: Spreading rumors of receiving clean chits; Attempts of obstructing investigation

Kathmandu: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has accused Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane of not helping in the cooperative case investigation.

General Secretary Pokharel said there is a practice of building the party by bragging about good governance among people, but not cooperating in investigation.

Interacting with media at Dhangadi on Wednesday, Pokhrel said, ‘The party has been formed by bragging about good governance among people. There is no meaning in refusing to participate in the investigation process regarding the raised question,’ said Pokharel.

General Secretary Pokharel said Lamichhane spread rumors about getting clean chit.

‘Clean chit is obtained after the investigation process is completed. Before that, no one gets a clean chit obtained based on rumors. Rumors were spread among the people. This is wrong, ‘ said Pokharel.

He said that RSP Leaders and cadres should understand about the seriousness of the accusatio.
