One dies, six injured in jeep accident

Kathmandu: A person has died in a jeep accident at Sunarpani of Manthali municipality-5 in Ramechhap.

Deputy Superintendent of Police in the district, Pradeep Kumar Singh, informed that six people were injured in the accident. The jeep with number plate Ba 1 8 Ch 1839 was heading to Salu of Manthali-4 from Manthali. It fell 150 meters down from the road on Sunday.

According to the police, Padma Maya Nepali (60 years old) from Manthali-4 died on the spot. DSP Singh said injured in the incident were driver Gun Kumar Thapamgar (42yearold) and Dilip Kumar Baruwal (69yearold) Sita Nepali (34) Sujita Rasaili (25) Sarita Nepali (25) and Sarita’s daughter Ronisha (5 months old).

Likewise, Thapamagar and Baruwal have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, while others are being treated at Manthali-based Ramechhap Community Hospital and Manthali Hospital.
