Earthquake jolts Baitadi

Kathmandu: An earthquake has occurred with its epicenter around Shivalinga of Baitadi.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Lainchaur said the earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale occurred at 2: 09 p.m. on Sunday, with its epicenter near Shivalinga of Baitadi.

Before this, an earthquake with its epicenter around Majhigaon of Bajhang occurred on September 18. Tremors have been occurring in Nepal of late. Tectonically, Nepal is considered an earthquake-prone zone as it is situated in the Himalayan region.
