BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital expands its outreach

Kathmandu: The BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, one of the pioneer hospitals for cancer treatment in the country has set to expand its services.

The hospital’s Executive Director Dr. Shivaji Poudel said the hospital is preparing to add two pharmacies and dental services soon with the rising number of patients and runs two pharmacies as well. Executive Director Poudel said that the dental service is being started to provide treatment to patients with dental cancer.

Likewise, the Hospital’s Assistant Director Dr. Umesh Nepal said the hospital brought a CT Scan Machine into operation after carrying out maintenance works and the intervention radiology service has also started. The hospital is preparing to install and operate equipment for mammography, which is to confirm breast cancer. ‘Process for the works of bone marrow transplant is also forwarded ‘said Dr. Nepal.
