Kathmandu: The government has launched festival-centric fair price shops from 19 September (Asoj 3).

The government launched festival-centric fair-price shops to provide daily consumables to customers at a reasonable price.

Government-owned Food Management and Trading Company will operate fair-price shops at 63 locations in 42 districts until January 15 (Magh 2).

The Company said the fair-price shops have come into operation to provide consumers with daily consumables at convenient rates (including discount prices) during upcoming festivals- Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath.

Likewise, the company has operated the fair shops at Thapathali, Ramshahpath, Nakhu, and Suryabinayak. It said that the food would also be delivered to the consumer’s kitchen, after taking orders online.
