Rabi Lamichhane: It has been confirmed that I was not involved in cooperative fraud

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has claimed the confirmation of not getting involved in the cooperative fraud.

Speaking with media outside the parliament on Monday, Lamichhane put forth his claim regarding the cooperative’s funds embezzlement case.

‘I have not read the complete report yet. But, it is confirmed that I am not involved in the cooperative fraud. It has been confirmed, ‘said Lamichhane.

He said that he would make every effort to give justice to the cooperative victims. ‘We will make an effort to give justice to everyone, whose deposited savings were embezzled. When I was in the government, I tried to do the same, ‘said Lamichhane.

Earlier, Lamichhane himself was accused of being involved in the fraud. Meanwhile, the formed committee to investigate didn’t find Lamichhane guilty.

The Committee concluded that Rabi’s involvement was not found in withdrawing the cash from the cooperatives. However, Lamichhane’s involvement in the spending of the embezzled amount was found.
