CPN (UML): CPN (Maoist Centre) will suffer, if they don’t let house session proceed

Kathmandu: The ruling coalition party CPN (UML) has said that the CPN (Maoist Centre) should assist in the parliamentary proceedings.

After participating in Speaker Devraj Ghimire’s all-party meeting on Sunday, CPN (UML) Chief Whip Ramesh Bartaula said, ‘The CPN (Maoist Centre) should assist in the parliamentary proceedings. If they don’t let it run, then they will suffer. They should understand this thing.’

Chief Whip Bartaula said that lawmakers should accept the Speaker’s ruling. ‘They decided to go against the Speaker’s decision. Every lawmaker should accept the Speaker’s ruling. The law was not made only by the Speaker.  CPN (Maoist Centre) went against that and decided not to let the parliament function. This will only make the CPN(Maoist Centre) suffer, ‘ said Bartaula.

The Chief Whip said that other participating lawmakers in the meeting also requested the CPN (Maoist Centre) to take back its decision to obstruct the house sessions.

‘Honorable and all parties’ Chief Whips also requested them to step back from their decision. Let’s hope they will review it and let the house session proceed, ‘ said Bartaula.
