Entry into the fourth year

We Will Not Falter

Despite these challenges, we remain resolute. We are committed to upholding high global media standards and will not compromise our principles.

Entry into the fourth year

Our principle: impartial, independent, and fearless journalism.

Today marks NepalViews’ entry into its fourth year, completing three full years of operation. On this milestone, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our readers, listeners, viewers, advertisers, the NepalViews team, and everyone who has supported us on this incredible journey.

Your encouragement and support have been vital to NepalViews’ ongoing success and growth. Freedom of expression is central to democracy, and it relies on unbiased media to thrive. Without knowledge and critical thinking, a society cannot discern right from wrong. By providing accurate information, fearless journalism helps steer society in the right direction.

Democracy is basically about rationality. Collective rationality makes the transition from darkness to light easier and more attainable. A nation cannot prosper in darkness, nor can democracy succeed in obscurity. Over the past three years, we have not only highlighted the challenges within Nepali society but have also worked to show pathways to a brighter future.

NepalViews has consistently aimed to provide insightful analysis, diverse perspectives, and comprehensive coverage of current events and public debates. We place a strong emphasis on investigative journalism and are planning to enhance these efforts even further.

We launched NepalViews during the tough times following COVID-19. Since then, both global and national economies have struggled to recover, and the advertising market has remained tight. The media industry faces intermittent attempts to undermine trust and create dissatisfaction. The rise of social media has also presented significant challenges for traditional media.

For journalism to remain impartial, independent, and fearless, it needs the support of both society and the state. Protecting journalists is crucial. Unfortunately, we have encountered cases where journalists have faced inappropriate behavior and attacks simply for doing their jobs.

Despite these challenges, we remain resolute. We are committed to upholding high global media standards and will not compromise our principles. We believe that our country must progress toward democratic stability, good governance, meaningful inclusion, social justice, and prosperity.

We strongly believe that journalism is an essential part of the broader national mission. As our nation moves toward becoming more modern, well-governed, and democratic, journalism will have the opportunity to thrive and excel.

With rapid changes in information technology, journalism practices are also evolving. In this digital age, with the rise of social media and citizen journalism, discussions about the future of professional journalism have become more prominent.

NepalViews must adapt to these changes. We will face these challenges and adjust as necessary.

Despite all these hurdles, we remain dedicated to creating and sharing content that meets the needs and interests of our readers. NepalViews will focus not only on providing surface-level information but also on producing and synthesizing relevant knowledge to offer clear and insightful guidance.

We look forward to your continued support and collaboration in the future.
