Kathmandu: The approaching Vishwakarma Puja has been keeping the sculptors busy.

The sculptors are busy creating idols of Vishwakarma with various gestures for the approaching Vishwakarma Puja. Sculptors, in Gusingal, Kupandole, are making the idols for the Vishwakarma Puja.

Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated every year on Ashwin Sankranti. On this day, Hindus worship vehicles and metal tools, which are used in workspaces, including factories.

The price of the statues ranges from 4000 to 10000 rupees. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Bishwakarma who is believed to have emerged from Samundra Manthan, i.e. churning of the ocean, built Dwarika for Lord Krishna, Mayasabha for Pandavas, and weapons for the deities.
