CPN (Unified Socialist )’s conclusion: Court’s decision to clear river banks is against constitutional rights of people

Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) has concluded that the Supreme Court’s decision to clear land near the river violated the constitutional rights of the people over their private property.

The party’s Vice Chairperson Jaganath Khatiwada said the discussion with a delegation, led by the party’s Kathmandu Chairperson LP Shrestha, Bhaktapur’s Chairperson Hari Krishna Thapa, and Shyam Basnet, concluded on Sunday.

Chairperson Nepal gave directions that the party should stand in favor of the people, and all sorts of conversations must be carried on to move forward with the pressure of creating programs.

Earlier, the Supreme Court decided about leaving 20/20 meters should be left on the river banks of Kathmandu. KMC welcomed the decision, however, the parties are against it.
