Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel has honoured bronze medalist para-taekwondo player Palesha Govardhan and the team.
President Paudel and First Lady Sabita Paudel honored Palesha by offering garlands and dosalla, in a program held at Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday. They even congratulated and wished Coach Kabiraj Negi Lama.
After honouring, President Paudel congratulated Palesha and said it has led the country’s head high. He said that the country expects a gold medal next time.
Nepali Army welcomed by playing Mangaldhun. Minister for Youth and Sports Teju Lal Chaudhary, bronze medalist Palesha Govardhan’s mother and father and officials of the Sports Association were present in the program.
Palesha won a bronze medal in the Women’s under 44 category, by defeating Serbia’s Marija Micev by 15- 8.
