Prachanda pledges to take initiative for making Nepalgunj ICP effective

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he would take the initiative to make the Nepalgunj Integrated Check Point (ICP) effective.

Addressing the Maoist Centre’s Lumbini province-level internal training an on-site inspection of the Nepalgunj ICP on Monday. Prachanda said ‘An impressive structure has been built and we all have to work to make it effective’.

He further said the government’s policy to place ICP in all the country’s border points and the ICP set up earlier might face some problems. It may be noted that the ICP was jointly inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the then PM Dahal when the latter was on an official visit to New Delhi, India.
