Kathmandu: The date of the TU BIM Cup Cricket 2024 has been finalized.
The inter-college tournament is set to take place from the 30th of August (14th of Bhadra 2081 B.S.) at Mulpani Cricket Stadium, Kathmandu.
The TU BIM Cup Cricket 2024 is not just a sporting event but a celebration of college students, and the unifying power of sports.
The tournament would be played in T-20 format. A total of 8 teams would be participating in the tournament. The teams would be divided into two groups and would be played in a knock-out format.
The organizers said only the colleges, that have the running the Bachelor in Information Management are eligible to participate in the tournament. No players studying the subject are eligible to participate in the team.
Nepal Commerce Campus, Shankerdev Campus, Kist College, KCMIT, Mechi Multiple Campus(MMC), IMS College, St. Xavier’s College, and Orchid International College are the eight teams competing in the tournament.
The winner of the tournament will bag a cash prize of 50,000 rupees and the runner-up will get 20,000 rupees.
The final of the tournament will be held on the 2nd of September (17th Bhadra, 2081 B.S.).
The best players will be awarded with, 1. Best Bowler 2. Best Batsmen and, 3. Man of the Series. The best bowler, best batsman, and man of the series will get 3 months of training in the Great Himalayan Cricket Academy (GHCA).
