Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed to work effectively on the Department of Revenue Research, Department of Asset Laundering, Public Procurement Monitoring Office, National Vigilance Centre, Department of National Investigation, Nepal Trust and other offices in controlling smuggling, corruption and misappropriation of state assets.
PM Oli in the meeting of the annual review and minister-level department problem-solving committee held at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers in Singhadurbar on Sunday, recalled the incident of smuggling gold of 33 kg from Tribhuvan International Airport and mentioned that the state lost lot of revenue due to the lack of responsibility of the relevant authorities.
‘Now we won’t tolerate such activities, trafficking is not possible, be determined to fulfil whatever responsibilities you all have been assigned, if there is a problem in determining in scope of work bring it, save the country from ruin, do the work that gives people hope and faith‘ said PM Oli.
Likewise, Prime Minister’s Economic and Development Advisor Dr Yuvraj Khatiwada. National Planning Commission Vice Chairperson Professor Dr. Shivraj Adhikari and Secretaries were present in the meeting.
