Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has spent about 2 hours with the National Women’s Volleyball Team.
PM Oli discussed how the achievements of volleyball so far, further infrastructure development, and confirming Nepal’s victory in the upcoming International Games with the Sports Coaches, and Players on Monday.
The coaches and players shared their excitement for having the opportunity to meet with the Executive Head of the state, possibly for the first time while having breakfast at Baluwatar.
Nepal Women’s Volleyball Coach Jagadish Prasad Bhatta, Captain Aruna Shahi, Nepal Volleyball Association Chairperson Jitendra Bahadur Chand, and Player Saraswati Chaudhary were present at the meeting.
Likewise, PM Oli said that he couldn’t attend to watch the game, due to the emergency meeting of the cabinet. He even said that he was aware of the progress, wishes, and demands of the players.
The Prime Minister said to give 30 million (3 crore) rupees to runner-up players. The players expressed their gratitude to PM Oli. He even decided to construct an International level covered hall for the development of volleyball.
‘Though the government doesn’t have enough money in the treasury, but we will do the work that needs to be done. We will win in upcoming games. Let your confidence turn your dream into reality We play the game to win and move ahead with a hope to win.You will succeed for sure,’ PM Oli.
