Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba reaches New Delhi

Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has reached New Delhi.

Ministry of External Affairs’s Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba reached at the airport.

Spokesperson Jaisal said the visit continues the tradition of regular high-level – bilateral exchanges and is a testament to the unique & close relationship between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba-led delegation went on an official visit to India (August 18-22) at the cordial invitation of her Indian counterpart S. Jaishanker. This is her first visit to the southern neighbor since she assumed the office.

During the visit, the Foreign Affairs Minister will have a bilateral meeting with her Indian counterpart, focusing on the matters of bilateral interests, cooperation, and the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to see off the Minister who is accompanied by the Chief of South Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bhrigu Dhungana.

According to the Ministry, the visit is part of an exchange of high-level visits between Nepal and India. The visit is expected to consolidate the old-age, deep, and multifaceted bilateral relations. The Minister is scheduled to return home on August 22.
