Madhesh Province’s Chief Minister dismiss 8 State Ministers

Kathmandu: The government of Madhesh Province has decided to dismiss 8 State Ministers.

The cabinet office said that Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh decided to dismiss the State Ministers. According to Chief Minister Singh’s Office, a letter was sent to the province’s Chief to dismiss the 8 appointed State Ministers on Tuesday. The decision was made to dismiss the State Ministers as per the consensus of the ruling parties of the Centre.

Chief Minister Singh said the decision to dismiss the State Ministers was taken after the government faced huge criticism for forming a jumbo cabinet. Province Office Tikaram Upreti confirmed that he received a letter from the Chief Minister’s Office to dismiss  8 State Ministers.

The province government appointed Rekha Thakur, Neelam Kumari Rajak, Ram Babu Yadav, Shambhu Shah, and Mohammad Jian as State Ministers last Tuesday.

Earlier, Keshav Raya, Shardha Devi Thapa, and Ranju Kumari Mandal Khang were appointed as State Ministers.
