Kathmandu: Activists have been demonstrating at Maitghar, against appointing the prime accused of Nirmala Kurmi as Province Minister.

The sit-in demonstration, under the leadership of Rights Activist and Campaigner Ruby Khan, began on Friday. The campaigners accused the Nepali Congress of protecting its leader Badshah Kurmi, the prime accused of Kurmi’s murder, and appointed him a Minister.

Likewise, the activists began their 5th demonstration by saying that the accused was appointed as Minister, despite the repeated assurance of the government to take the case to court.

Their demand includes the immediate dismissal of Kurmi from the post of Minister, taking Nirmala Kurmi’s murder case to the court, and arranging a security guarantee for the demonstrators.

Similarly, they even warned to continue their sit-in until fulfilling their demands.
