PM Oli: We will turn past into peace

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has pledged to turn the past into peace.

Accepting the report submitted by the task force formed to finalize the TRC Bill related to Transitional Justice on Wednesday, PM Oli commented about converting the past into peace.

‘A commission will be formed after passing the bill from the parliament, and we will change the painful past to peace,’ said Oli, ‘There is a need for support and cooperation from all sides to make Nepal peaceful. We will move forward with cooperation.’

He further said, ‘The major parties have reached an agreement after 18 years of ending the violent conflict through the comprehensive peace agreement related with the transitional justice bill.’

The task force has already drawn agreement on the 4 conflicting points.
