Roaring Bagmati River (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: The incessant rainfall, since Monday night, has increased the water level in various rivers inside Kathmandu Valley.

The rising water level in the rivers of Nepal affected the daily lives of people on Tuesday. The roads, situated on the side of the rivers, also experienced traffic jams.

The continuous rainfall also increased the water level in the Bagmati River and its tributaries Bishnumati, Dhobikhola, Manohara, and Godavari. The water level also increased in the rivers like Khodku, Nakkhu, Balkhu, and others.

Likewise, the increasing water of Bagmati also entered the slum settlements. The slum settlement of the Balkhu area was also flooded.
