Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be participating in the 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)has begun its preparation for the visit of PM Oli. The MOFA is also setting agendas to present on behalf of Nepal at the summit, which has been scheduled for September 3 (Bhadra 18) and September 4 (Bhadra 19).
According to the ministry’s source, PM Oli will hold a sideline meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The preparations for sideline meeting with Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and heads of state of other countries are also going on.
Senior Official of the Ministry said, ‘ There is a schedule of Head of Government or Head of State to address the summit on September 3 (Bhadra 18). Homework regarding conducting sideline meetings after the program is going on.’
