Cyclist killed in road accident

Kathmandu: A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck in a road accident that took place in Itahari sub-metropolis-6 along the East-West highway on Friday.

According to the District Police Office, 42-year-old Ramchandra Shrestha of Shadanand Municipality-14 of Bhojpur died in the incident. He was hit by a truck (Pra. 1-02-001 Ba 9294) traveling from Itahari to Biratnagar. He was living with his sister in Itahari-4.

The truck driver, 45-year-old Govinda Bahadur Tamang of Dharan, has been detained by the police.
