Saurya Airlines Captain Shakya’s discharge underway

Kathmandu: The preparations are going to discharge Captain Manish Ratna Shakya; who is the sole survivor of Saurya Airlines’ aircraft crash. According to the KMC Hospital, preparations are going on to discharge Shakya with the improvement in his health condition.

Nepali Congress Vice Chairperson Purna Bahadur Khadka, Lawmaker, and KMC’s director Sunil Sharma’s team reached the hospital to meet Shakya on Thursday.

Interacting with the media, Hospital Director Dr. Mina Thapa said the preparations are going on to discharge Shakya with the improvement in the health of the injured Shakya.

‘His treatment is going on. But there is no need to keep him in the hospital. He can continue treatment through therapy and other treatments by staying at home,’ said Dr. Thapa. She said he could not return to the work immediately.

Likewise, Dr. Thapa said that they didn’t talk much about the crash with the Captain. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) directed Shakya not to speak about the crash immediately.
