PM Oli: I will resign 1 day before completion of 2 years

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has pledged to make the current ruling coalition successful as it was formed with the coordination of two major parties when the nation was going through a critical situation.

Directing to the Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday, PM Oli reiterated his statement about the need for forming the government under the leadership of 2 major parties as the previous government was not successful in working as per the wishes of the people and created disappointment among people.

‘These 2 parties have been contributing to the economic, and social transformation of the country. These parties have played a key role in the development and change of the country by fighting in the movement from the Rana period to the Monarchy. Therefore the government has a special responsibility on its shoulders. There is no excuse for its failure and it would not be allowed to fail under any circumstance,’ said PM Oli.

Targeting the people, who are spreading rumors regarding the longevity of the current government, PM Oli said that he would resign one day before the completion of the two years as per the agreement and pass on the leadership to the Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
