Taskforce reached theoretical agreement for TRC Bill

Kathmandu: The discussion of the Task Force on the Transitional Justice Bill (TRC) has reached a theoretical agreement.

Member of the Task Force and CPN(Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma said the meeting, held in the Singhadurbar on Friday, reached a theoretical agreement.

Deputy General Secretary Sharma said the report will be prepared after discussing the remaining issues with stakeholders. ‘We reached an agreement theoretically. The language of the agreement needs to be made as per the constitution. Our main aim is to make the agreement victim-centric,’ said Sharma.

Likewise, the Coordinator of the working group, Mahesh Bartaula, said the meeting decided to hold take consultation to finalize the bill.
