Drivers dead as two trucks collide

Kathmandu: Drivers of two trucks have died after the vehicles collided from the opposite directions.

The accident occurred at Bhateri along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section on Friday. Superintendent of Police of Chitwan, Bheshraj Rijal, said that Mehatab Alam (24-year-old) of Uttar Pradesh from India and Pramod Patel (33) of the Birgunj Metropolitan City died in the accident.

Alam was driving a truck (container) from India. Critically injured in the accident, Alam and Patel died while receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

Likewise, Police said that  Sawan Aahammad, the helper of the Indian truck also critically injured in the accident and is receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
