Dispute of footpath expansion in New Road resolved

Kathmandu: The dispute over the New Road footpath has been resolved.

The dispute was over after the agreement reached between the concerned parties on Monday. The discussion was held in Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), where it agreed to form a 9 working members group and proceed with the work according to their suggestion.

Local traders and the Ward Chairperson demonstrated against KMC’s expansion of footpaths.

The meeting held between KMC Mayor Balen Shah, the Ward Chairperson and Locals leader decided to form a study team which will submit its report by November 17(Mangsir 2).

Likewise, Ward Chairperson of 22 Chinkaji Shrestha said after the submission of the report by the 9-member working group it will be decided on the further work procedure.
