Traffic along Prithvi Highway closed for five hours from 10 pm-3 am since July 10

Kathmandu: Traffic along Prithvi highway has remained closed from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am from July 10.

According to the Department of Roads, vehicular movement remains closed till July 24 as repair and maintenance of bridges in Ganesh Rivulet, Dangdung rvulet, Kheste Rivulet and Pokhare Rivulet in Naubise-Malekhu road section along Prithvi highway have to be carried out.

The department said a decision was taken to close the road section given the possible risk to road users and disruption of vehicular movement. A notice issued by the Department reads, ‘Vehicles except ambulance and those using by security bodies will be completely stopped from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am every day till July 24.’It also urged one and all to use the Galchhi-Bidur-Chhahare-Tokha road as its alternative route.
