‘Remove the subject of snatching people’s rights from the mind’

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the two biggest parties of the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (UML) are trying to take the nation back to 2047 Bikram Sambat by amending the constitution.

Addressing the ongoing House of Representatives (HoR) meeting for a vote of confidence, PM Dahal commented upon the constitution amendment. ‘What does the slogan of durability refer to? Humble requests to friends, do not emphasize complex and sensitive matters like constitutional amendment. Let’s have an open discussion for amendment,’ said PM Dahal.

The Prime Minister claimed that the constitutional amendment cannot be done by marginalizing the National Assembly. He questioned, ‘CPN (Maoist Centre) is the biggest party of the National Assembly. Will the constitution be amended by marginalizing the National Assembly?’

PM Dahal requested CPN (UML)-NC to remove, the subject of snatching the rights of the public, from the mind. ‘Best wishes to all of you. May there be no backstabbing in your relationship? It’s not the first time that you have united, it’s not also the last time that you will unite. But, remove the subject of snatching the rights of the people from the mind. It would not be convenient to snatch rights, which are being consumed by the public. If this happens, there will be a countermeasure in the house and street,’ said PM Dahal.

Likewise, PM Dahal thanked the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and CPN (Unified Socialist) for supporting him till the end of the fighting. ‘The parties of the coalition, including the Rastriya Swatantra Party and CPN (Unified Socialist), supported me against the conspiracy till the end and showed high political morality. I am especially grateful to you, ‘ said the Prime Minister.

RSP and CPN (Unified Socialist) are also in the favor of PM Dahal.
