CPN(Unified Socialist Convention): Board of Directors formed under leadership of Khanal

Kathmandu: The closed session of the CPN (Unified Socialist)’s 10th National Convention has begun.

The closed session, which began in Pragya Pratisthan, will discuss various reports. Leader Ram Mani Pokharel said there will be discussion on the socialist program, constitutional amendment, and organization.

The process of selecting the new leadership will begin after the document is passed. The Convention is preparing to elect 299 members of the central committee including 21 central office bearers.

Likewise, to complete the convention the 13-member Board of Directors has been formed under the leadership of Jhalnath Khanal—15.  Discussion note committee members have been formed under the leadership of General Secretary Jagannath Khatiwada.

Similarly, the Minenute Committee has been formed under the leadership of Dr. Gangalal Tuladhar and Dr. Vijaya Poudel.

After the document is passed, the selection process will begin at the Convention. Leader Pokharel said the voting will be arranged through electronic machines in the convention. Despite the efforts to select leadership unanimously from the convention, the process has not reached an agreement.
