PM Dahal: Convention would take initiatives for unity among leftist forces

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoists Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that there should be unity among the leftist forces.

Congratulating the convention of the CPN (United Socialists) on Sunday, PM Dahal said the reactionary forces are preparing a commentary that nothing has happened in the country, which should be opposed.

PM Dahal also expressed his belief that this convention would take initiatives for unity among the leftist forces. PM Dahal also pointed out that there is a need to synthesize the direction of the socialist revolution as a whole. He also called upon them to take initiatives for communist unity by building a corresponding organization.

He said, ‘We are at the same place on the socialist front. Now our opinion on leftist unity through the front is matchable. The Convention must make a concrete decision about it.’

PM Dahal expressed his sadness for calling him unstable. He said, ‘If I was not unstable, would there have been a people’s war in the country? If I was not unstable, would there be peace in the country? Would we have reached the current situation? That’s why I’m not unstable, I’m dynamic.’

PM Dahal responded to the fact that he was portrayed as unstable in the document to be submitted to the Convention of the CPN (United Socialists). After that, General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal, who is conducting the program, clarified that they did not just say ‘astheer’ (i.e. unstable) in the document but also praised the Maoists and their movement.
