Lalitpur metropolis actively engaged in reconstruction of heritages

Lalitpur: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City is actively engaged in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of temples and shrines, the traditional stone spouts, and other heritages damaged due to earthquakes.

Ward No 4 Chairperson Santosh Khadka said works have been started for the repair and maintenance as well as rehabilitation of the heritages damaged in the 2015 Earthquake and awaiting reconstruction, Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

Similarly, Metropolis, Ward No 21 Chair Rajendra Maharjan said there are about 15 historic heritages in Ward No 21 and the Ward Office is at work for the conservation and rehabilitation of the damaged heritages.

It is said that 400 ponds within the metropolis are also in the process of repair and maintenance. Prof. Ram Kumar Panta, who has carried out extensive research on the heritages of Lalitpur, said that many heritages of archaeological importance damaged by the earthquake have been reconstructed.
