Province Assembly Member Phanindra restricted from entering provincial assembly meeting

Kathmandu: Gandaki Province Assembly Member Phanindra Devkota has been restricted from entering the province assembly meeting.

Devkota could not enter the provincial assembly meeting held on Thursday. Devkota was stopped after he attempted to enter the meeting that began at noon.

Devkota said to NepalViews ‘I was asked to stop for a while. I couldn’t understand, why they did like that, I don’t know. I am outside now.’

Likewise, the CPN (Maoist Centre) parliamentary party took action against Devkota, who gave a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey appointed by the Nepali Congress (NC).

Devkota went to the Supreme Court against it. The Court ordered not to implement the punishment while hearing Devkota’s case.

After this Devkota who went to attend today’s meeting was stopped. Expressed his surprise said, ‘The action upon me has been dismissed. Why was it done in such a situation? I couldn’t understand it.’
