Heavy rainfall predicted in some places of 5 provinces

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the weather will be generally to fully cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the country.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at a few places in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces. According to the Department, it will be generally fully cloudy throughout the country this afternoon.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Likewise, the weather will be generally fully cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight, and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the country. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces in the next 24 hours.

Given possible heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department has urged the people to remain alert as it would partially affect the daily life of these areas as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport.
